A little reminder before riding finishes in a few weeks.

We have beautiful RDA 50th anniversary tartan scarfs, calendars with photos of the riders & vaulters and tote bags with amazing pictures all drawn by our riders & vaulters, all of which make lovely Christmas gifts.  We also have a great selection of Christmas cards.

02 November 2019FIONA and LYNN RECIEVE AWARDS FROM THE PRINCESS ROYAL

On Wednesday the 23rd October Berwickshire Group made the long journey to Ingliston Country Club for the Scottish Supra Conference where we were kept entertained by some very good speakers.

The Princess Royal presented Fiona Anderson with her 25 year Long Service Award

and Lynn Blythe received the 2019 Edinburgh & Borders Volunteer or the Year Award. 

Both ladies had a chat with the Princess and their awards are well deserved. 

06 October 2019RECENT FUNDRAISERS

On Friday 4th October a very successful Quiz was held in Chirnside Community Center.

David and Ann Knighton were Question master and scorer and produced some thought provoking questions to make us all think.

Congratulations to the winning team BAZINGA and to the other teams who took part.

Thank you to everyone who donated baking for the very good interval tea and for the raffle prizes, and to all who helped set up and tidy the hall.

This enjoyable evening raised £243.80 for Group funds.

Elemford Show kindly offered the Group a sales table on Saturday 28th September.

This was well worth while and many people showed an interest in RDA and after

bumper sales of Christmas cards raised £165.80.

Today Ed and Claire stepped up to pick the next ten winners of the Collegiate Saddles UK competition. Collegiate have given us 50 SADDLES to give away for our 50th anniversary... there are still 20 to win so keep your fingers crossed!!!

27 September 2019OVERALL BEST PRICTURE FIRST PRIZE

Well done to the young people who entered the Annual RDA UK National Championships. Their collage was entered to the collage section and won first prize. Even better news is that their artwork also won first prize for “Overall Best Picture” in the arts and craft section.
Pupils will keep the beautiful trophy for year. They will also decide how they would like to spend the £40 prize money.
Well done to Hayley Paxton, Christoffer Pedersen, Eva McKinven, Jacob Rothery and Mrs Trace.
A big thank you to Mrs Trace for leading on this.

12 September 2019ROSETTE PRESENTAIONS

The Wednesday morning riders received their rosettes for the Art work which went to the Championships in the Group Sculpture Class.  it was called "lets Party" and won 6th place.
