The Berwickshire Group RDA is run entirely by volunteers. Annual running costs amount to approximately £25,000. The main expenses are looking after the horses, maintaining the equipment and riding facility, insurance and utility bills. The Group relies solely on fund-raising and donations and receives no statutory funding.
ADOPT A HORSE
If you are interested in adopting one of our horses, please click onthe 'Adopt a Horse' tab to find out more about that particular horse and to download a form should you wish to sponsor that particular horse.
Adoption of a horse costs £10 per year for which the named person will recieve a photo of your chosen horse, an adoption certificate, a christmas card from the Berwickshire Group and a mention on the adoption page of our web site.
MAKE A DONATION
Any donation large or small will go directly towards the running of the group, maintaining the horses and riding facilities. You can also help by supporting the fund-raising events we organise or by running an event yourself.
WE NEED YOUR USED POSTAGE STAMPS, OLD POSTCARDS, FOREIGN & BRITISH MONEY OLD OR NEW
We can raise money from;
British and overseas stamps
It doesn't matter if the stamps have already been used, or if they are everyday first or second class stamps.
We can raise more money from overseas stamps & also collect first day covers, presentation packs and albums.
Please cut the stamp off the envelope leaving approximately 1cm of envelope bordering each stamp
Please don't cut the stamps off, the postcards can be new or old & from any country
Foreign & British Money
Old or new, even the money the post office and banks won't change.
Do you have any currency from the countries who changed to the Euro? We can even use it.

26/8/2015 - Update from Rag Bag as follows:
Dear Rag-Bag Participants
Reluctantly we have been forced into the decision to reduce further the items we can accept as part of the Rag-Bag scheme.
The increases in Sterling against certain foreign currencies during the last 12 months mean that HOUSEHOLD items now cost significantly more to collect than their recyclable value. We have therefore had to remove these items from the collection list.
We trust that you will continue to give your support to the Rag-Bag scheme as it still represents an excellent source of fundraising for your organisation.

Do you have an empty jar ? Would you please fill it with your spare change to raise funds for the group ?
Empty jars will be available in the school as & when we get them but if you have an empty jar at home we would love it if you'd fill it for us.
Berwickshire Group RDA has now signed up with Recycle4Charity. Please help us raise funds by recycling your used ink cartridges & old mobile phones. Bags & a collection box will be provided at the school. If you'd like a freepost bag sent to you leave a comment & we will arrange to get it sent out.
